WEST GREEWICH, R.I. (WPRI) -- A fire at a home in West Greenwich remains under investigation.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on Finlandia Boulevard last night. Fire Chief Brian Hoxsie tells Eyewitness News a mother and her young children returned home from vacation to find their house on fire.
Fire officials say the fire got a good head start because there are no fire hydrants in the neighborhood, and their water had to be trucked in to the scene.
No one was injured, but the home suffered significant damage. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
